Taking the form of a traditional 'Hatchment' in memoriam, artist Grant Watt tells the story of the birth of Helensburgh, arguably one of the greatest romantic gestures between husband and wife – the creation of a town by Sir James Colquhoun, named in honour of his wife, Lady Helen.

Depicting the town's heraldic coat of arms using oil and acrylic, Grant brings to life some of its history as a visual genealogy of the people behind the town's creation, being divided vertically to bring together the Colquhoun and Sutherland clan crests in a unique partnership.
