In this specially commissioned piece formed of painted paper that is then ‘quilled’ or shaped, she has created a lifelike replica of Colquhounia, the evergreen shrub native to the Himalaya mountains and named in honour of Sir Robert Colquhoun, passionate amateur botanist and patron of the Calcutta Botanical Gardens, now the Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose Indian Botanic Garden, in Kolkata.
