The Role

As Room Porter, you’ll keep the inn running gracefully behind the scenes — supporting our housekeeping team, preparing and refreshing rooms, assisting guests with luggage and requests, and lending a capable pair of hands wherever the day needs one. It’s a role for someone who takes quiet pride in a job well done, and whose care is felt in every detail guests never have to think about.

As Duty Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day running of the inn as the senior manager on duty — ensuring exceptional guest experiences that reflect five-star luxury standards. You’ll coordinate seamlessly across departments, resolve guest concerns with discretion and efficiency, and uphold the highest levels of service excellence, safety and brand integrity throughout the inn.

The Role
As Meetings & Events Co-ordinator, you’ll plan and coordinate the weddings, social events, corporate functions and private dining hosted at the coaching inn and its event spaces. You’ll be the primary point of contact for clients from first enquiry through to handover to our Food & Beverage team — delivering exceptional guest experiences while maximising venue revenue and upholding the inn’s five-star standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & client management — respond promptly to enquiries, conduct show rounds, prepare proposals, contracts and bespoke packages, build strong client relationships, and upsell accommodation, catering and event services
- Event planning & coordination — plan weddings, receptions, corporate meetings, conferences, private dining and celebrations; develop timelines, floor plans, seating and function sheets; coordinate menus with the culinary team and arrange décor, AV, entertainment, transport and guest accommodation
- Vendor & supplier management — liaise with florists, photographers, entertainers and other suppliers, maintain a preferred vendor network, and coordinate access and event-day schedules
- Collaboration across the inn — work closely with Guest Relations, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Kitchen, Maintenance and Management; coordinate room blocks for wedding parties and event guests; join weekly operations and planning meetings
- Administration & finance — maintain accurate client records, contracts and payment schedules, track event revenue and budgets, prepare post-event evaluations, and help achieve annual event sales targets
