The Duchess’s Sporting
Stravaig & Quaich
Guided walks for all abilities on Ben Dubh, Ben Lomond and The Cobbler — named for Iona Colquhoun, Duchess of Argyll, who learned these hills as a girl and never stopped walking them.
The hills themselves are in the hands of an independent mountain guide who has spent a lifetime on them. We’ll make the introduction, and you’ll arrange the walk together — pace, route and hour to suit you
Everything either side of it is ours: out in the Loch Lomond Arms’ own Land Rover Defender to the trail that suits you, insider stories and local history on the way, and a self-guided map yours for the taking if you’d rather wander alone. Sunrise and sunset walks can be arranged for the golden hours.
Pause for a picnic at a scenic viewpoint, with gourmet packed lunches to pre-order and hot drinks at chosen stops — and however far you stravaig, it all rounds off the same way: a well earned whisky.
